Staff and crews will be on hand to talk to members of the community at the Guru Tegh Bahadur Temple in Leicester this Sunday (16 April 2017).

They will be speaking to members of the community (in Punjabi, Hindi and English) about the different roles within the service, showing them around an ambulance and talking to them about how the service works.

Emergency Medical Technician Kuldip Bhamrah said: “This will be a brilliant opportunity for our service to raise awareness about the work that we do and encourage community members to think about a career with the ambulance service”.

The temple is on East Park Road in Leicester, and the visit is part of celebrations to mark the auspicious Sikh festival of Vaisakhi (beginning of the new spring year).

Local doctors will also be in attendance doing mini health checks.
