Our emergency operations centre (control room) is seen as ‘one of the best in the world’ and has been internationally recognised as an Accredited Centre of Excellence.
In 2009 we were awarded the world’s first Multi-Control Centre Accreditation from the International Academy of Emergency Medical Dispatch (see picture) and today Jerry Overton from the Board of Accreditation, based in America, visited our control room.
Accreditation is the highest honour that a dispatch centre can receive and demonstrates to employees, patients and the community a long-term commitment to excellence.
