Clinical Operations Manager, Martin Bussey, from Sleaford Ambulance Station has been nominated and shortlisted for Medical Practitioner of the Year’ at the Sleaford Town Awards. 

Martin, who has worked for our service for over 30 years, was nominated by Duty Operations Manager for South Lincolnshire Nicola Haywood.  

Nicola said the dedication that Martin has is beyond his role, with patient care and staff welfare being at the top of his priorities.

She added: “After stressful or traumatic jobs, Martin always provides a listening ear for staff to talk to; often working lengthy hours to ensure staff are welfare checked. Martin lives and breathes our EMAS values of teamwork, contribution, respect, integrity and competence.  

“Being a paramedic, Martin always ensures his patients receive the best possible care to the highest standard. The impact he has on colleagues, patients and their families often goes unnoticed.It’s great he is able to receive some recognition for his work.”

If Martin is chosen as a winner he will attend Sleaford Town Hall on 3 May to receive his recognition.
