We received a call at 8.19pm last night to a two car collision on the Eastbound carriageway of the A45 near the exit to Great Doddington. Five patients were reported to have been injured including one woman with serious injuries who was thrown from one of the vehicles.

Due to the number of patients, the paramedic in the Fast Response Vehicle called for support from three ambulance crews. The air ambulance, fire and rescue service and police were also in attendance.

Two patients were taken to Northampton General Hospital, one to Kettering General Hospital and one to Coventry and Walsgrave Hospital.
