Colleagues from our Emergency Operations Centres (EOCs) received recognition last week for their long service and going above and beyond to support the move to a new call categorisation system.
Amassing over 240 years of working in the NHS, colleagues from our Horizon Place and Bracebridge EOCs received awards for 10, 20, 30 and 40 years of service and special awards for Excellence, living the EMAS values and the part they played in helping us successfully transfer to NHS Pathways in a short space of time.
Gary Lockley, Head of EOC, opened the event. He said: "On behalf of myself and the rest of our Senior Leadership team, we just want to say a huge thank you for everything that you have done over the last 12 months. Each and everyone of you here are being recognised for going above and beyond but that doesn't mean that our colleagues back at work haven't gone above and beyond too, so thank you to you all. We hope you enjoy the day."
Chief Executive Richard Henderson and Director of Operations Ben Holdaway also attended the event and presented the awards.
Richard said: "It is absolutely fantastic to be here. As Gary was saying it is really great to be able to recognise such contribution and achievements. The everyday role that you all perform is immensely pressurized, so from the bottom of my heart, thank you for what you all do."
Director of Operations Ben Holdaway said he loves attending these events to meet people and give out awards, and shared the below message with us.
