ADVERT READS: Internship opportunity. Gain invaluable experience within an NHS Communications team
East Midlands Ambulance Service is currently looking for an enthusiastic and talented student to complete an internship within their communications team. The post holder will be passionate about communications, media and social media and have a drive to work within a busy, professional communications team.
This opportunity is suited to a student studying a degree in English, Journalism, Marketing or Public Relations who wants to gain practical experience working with media (newspapers, radio and television).
Volunteering within the communications team
The communications team work daily with staff, patients, stakeholders and media to share stories and engage with the public. No two days are the same and the successful applicant will support the team with:
- Photography, videography and design
- Media and press management
- Digital communications and social media management
- Day to day management of the EMAS website and intranet
- Internal communications, including emails and online staff magazine
- Stakeholder communications
Work experience in the NHS is a fantastic way to gain insight into a particular career.
Details: Four week placement starting in September 2017
