"I saw a GP on the 2 September 2021 and she was brilliant. Even now a year on, I struggle to say the words “she saved my life” and even well up typing it, but I think she certainly may have. She listened carefully to what I said."

In 2021, Tim Slater, Divisional Director for Derbyshire was diagnosed with bowel cancer.

Tim started to notice symptoms back in 2020 however put it down to other, less serious ailments. As time progressed though, he realised something wasn’t right and pushed for an answer.

 Tim wants to openly share his story about his journey in the hopes it will help others not only who are in the same situation, but those who also may be suffering the same symptoms he did at the start of his cancer journey.
