Our Louth colleagues are moving today to a shared facility with fire service colleagues in the town.

The joint Fire and Ambulance Station is just over a mile away from the current ambulance station, and allows both organisations to make better use of publicly funded facilities.

The teams that start and end their shift at the shared facility will continue to respond to 999 emergency calls as they do now.

This move is part of the national approach to blue light organisations (police, fire and NHS ambulance) working more closely together.
