Lisa Harrison works in our Lincolnshire Emergency Operations Centre and on Saturday 10 September, during the early hours of the morning, assisted caller Tim to deliver his wife Ulrike’s second daughter.
To say thank you the family have sent her a lovely thank you note and box of chocolates.
After the safe arrival of baby Yohanna, Lisa spoke to Tim’s four-year-old daughter Yosephina to congratulate her on the birth of her sister.
Writing to thank Lisa, Tim said: “Please pass on our thanks and gratitude to Lisa Harrison for supporting me during my 999 call. She was great and went the extra mile in a very stressful situation.”
Lisa said: “It means so much to receive a compliment, especially on this type of call.
“We do sometimes deal with very upsetting and traumatic calls, but on this occasion it was a pleasure to be part of something so uplifting.
“The thank you from Tim demonstrates that we do sometimes make a difference and it’s the reason I chose the career I have. I am delighted that the family are so appreciative of the support I provided and I couldn’t be happier for them.”
